Bad Job Boards: Cheaters and Liars

Why are the jobs no longer on Goldbeck’s website but, still on other job boards?

This is a big time waster for recruitment firms, mostly due to inefficient and dated job boards. Candidates will regularly contact us to get an update on jobs that are no longer on our website but are still visible on other job boards. So why is this happening?

The answer: laziness and cheating.

To pump up online traffic and increase their candidate database, job boards will index our jobs to their website, which is fine by me. Here is when the problem occurs, we take down our jobs from our website and sometimes there is a significant time lapse before our jobs are removed from their job board, hence the discrepancy.  Some job boards will even recycle expired jobs from a previous year to be reposted as a new job.

Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Go directly to the source for the latest updates on our jobs, if the position is no longer up on www.goldbeck.com, the job is no longer open.
