How Pinterest can double your sales
By now, most of you have probably heard of Pinterest. But still you are debating whether it is really worth it or is it another social media time suck. According to Shareaholic, Pinterest referral rate is 3.6%. PR Daily reported that in the month of January, Pinterest had over 11 million unique visitors. Shopify reported referral traffic from Pinterest to Shopify stores (25,000+ online stores) is equal to traffic coming from Twitter. Of that traffic, shoppers are 10% more likely to make a purchase compared to those who were referred from other social sites.
Not bad statistics.
Here are a few great examples to help you get started:
Sephora – Pinterest sweepstakes campaign. To win a Sephora GC all you have to do is follow Sephora on Pinterest and create a board pinning a certain amount of their products.
Whole Foods – What is for Dinner board?
