Case Study: Schindler Elevator Corporation

Elevator manufacturer Schindler knew they needed to quickly find the perfect candidate for the recently-opened position of Operations Supervisor, a job that entails meticulously overseeing all  aspects of elevator repair and maintenance. Goldbeck Recruiting was enlisted to find a candidate with a strong background in either the elevator industry or an industry that was similar. Schindler preferred for the candidate to be located in Vancouver, as they wanted to hire someone as fast as possible without the process of relocation. They needed to have the ability to manage more than one job site at a time, and to be an efficient problem solver.

Thankfully, Goldbeck recruiter Alessia had no issues finding a candidate that fit all of those requirements (and then some!). Within the first week of the recruitment process, she had screened and sent Schindler a candidate that they loved. However, just to ensure that they had found the best candidate possible, Alessia continued to interview and screen candidates to send to Schindler — after about a month of exploring their options, they formally hired on the first candidate we found.
