Our client offers a comprehensive suite of geotechnical, structural, and geospatial monitoring and data delivery solutions that are being used in leading projects around the world. Their monitoring technology can measure areas of interest at scale, from high-production mine sites to entire networks, such as railways, highways, and pipelines with a combination of geospatial, ground-based, and structural-based instrumentation. Their platform is also used to measure movement in airports, bridges, water dams, tailings dams, mines, and tunnels. They are looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for Latin America. The candidate can be located in Columbia, Peru, or Brazil.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, support, develop, implement, and deliver a sales strategy for Colombia, Chile, Brazil, and Ecuador for Mining, Energy and Infrastructure sectors that aligns with the overall business strategy and the company’s core values to advance market share/penetration and achieve profitable growth.
- Develop plans that articulate the strategies/requirements essential for focusing market development activities, accurate forecasts and communicating progress.
- Develop new leads, and sales initiatives, present the company’s platform to prospective clients and close opportunities.
- Become technically proficient in the company’s Insights products and service offerings for each market sector to allow for technical customer meetings.
- With the support of the company’s leadership team, execute the LatAm sales strategy and deliver on sales targets.
- Work with the LatAm Sales Director to develop the LatAm marketing strategy.
- Develop and execute strategies for new market expansion in target sectors and regions.
- Regularly use Salesforce CRM for documenting customer correspondence and follow-up activity.
- Support Project/Account Management and after-sales support.
- Attending conferences, customer meetings, and industry events.
- Develop quotes and proposals for clients.
- Be in Latin America and travel as needed for business within South America and to the client’s head office on demand.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of demonstrated successful experience building, developing, growing, and running a sales territory.
- Proven customer service experience and ability to build rapport with existing and new customers.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (Portuguese would be an asset)
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for proposing, presenting, and discussing solutions with all levels of the organization.
- Engineering degree, Geotechnical, Geological, Mining or Civil, and MBA
- Demonstrated knowledge in the field of remote sensing.
- Comprehension of the geotechnical instrumentation and data acquisition/visualization is required.
