Our client is a well-established paper trader from Europe. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. They are looking to ramp up the amount of paper products they trade in the USA and are open to hiring experienced paper traders or salespeople working for paper manufacturers.   This is a heavily focused business development role where candidates must have experience in the paper industry and be open to picking up the phone to make sales happen. Candidates can be in any location across the USA.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for trading paper products
  • Acquire, negotiate, and close sales and purchase contracts
  • Service and maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Source, prospect and identify new customers and opportunities
  • Act as a resource between the European headquarters and the USA office to ensure customer feedback and market information is communicated effectively

Qualifications:

  • Sales and business development experience working in the paper industry
  • Strong business sales acumen
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills
  • Understanding and familiarity of international trade financing, purchasing and transportation
  • High level of initiative and entrepreneurial drive
  • Proficiency in English; a second language is considered a major asset
