Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Receipt of Jobs: This involves handling jobs sent to us via email, fax, and other channels.
  • Prioritizing and Managing Job Urgency: Determining the priorities and urgencies of jobs to ensure timely processing.
  • Utilizing Tools for Timely Customs Release: Utilizing all available tools to efficiently organize and manage the timely release of all Customs entries.
  • Supervising and Delegating to Staff: Managing and delegating tasks to staff members who report to this position.
  • Troubleshooting Shipments Clearance: Addressing problems, errors, delays, and other issues related to shipments being cleared through Customs.
  • Coordinating with Import Clients: Collaborating with import clients to resolve issues and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in Customs brokerage and freight forwarding, providing a solid foundation in industry practices.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills for efficient job handling and staff delegation.
  • Exceptional time management and organization to prioritize tasks and ensure timely Customs release.
  • Problem-solving expertise to troubleshoot clearance issues and collaborate with import clients.
  • Detail-oriented with a grasp of regulations, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities, technology, and regulations, while fostering teamwork.
