Profile:

Our client is a North American based furniture retailer, manufacturer and distributor engaged in both residential and contract markets, offering classic-contemporary designs with timeless style and enduring quality.

They are currently seeking an experienced full-time Director of Sales & Business Development with a focus on commercial and architectural projects. In this role, the candidate will report to the Managing Director and the President.

Responsibilities:

o             Develop and strengthen opportunities with leading A&D, commercial, hospitality, retail forms in Canada

o             On-going sales monitoring and analysis of all sales activities

o             Manage of Sales Team, targets and strategies

o             Develop overall conquest and retention strategies

o             New Business Development

o             Mentoring Sales Associates & Executives

o             Manage showroom and local human resources

o             Additional responsibilities as required

 

Requirements

o             Furniture contract sales experience preferred. Candidates with a high level of strategy coming from luxury brands within a variety of industries, such as retail, automotive, architectural, etc. will be considered as well

o             Ability to work Saturdays (1 per month)

o             Ability to multitask in a dynamic team environment

o             Strong organizational skills

o             Excellent computer skills in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

o             Experience with inventory/database, preferable SAP B1

o             Second language an asset (Mandarin/Cantonese preferred)
