Job/Company Profile:  Reporting to a Senior Manager you will be one of two HR Specialists, tackling the day to day HR responsibilities and projects.  Strong experience in Employee Relations to lead employee relations activities, projects and initiatives. Projects are varied and will keep you busy.


  • Lead, develop, coordinate and execute new and ongoing HR projects focused on strategic HR priorities to support business direction, process, system and KPI improvements
  • Research best practices, find creative solutions, develop process maps and create templates for HR needs
  • Provides change management, decision making and employee communications
  • Manage and implement HR systems
  • Identify areas in HR practices to improve and follow through with executing improvements
  • Lead employee relations activities, projects and initiatives
  • Review, develop, update, and implement HR policies, procedures and programs
  • Ensure company complies with legal standards and guidelines
  • Provide support for all team members on policy interpretation
  • Support Group Leaders and Managers in attendance tracking and attendance management
  • Coordinate morale survey and lead analysis of results
  • Manage the corrective actions and investigation process
  • Plan and oversee events
  • Produce ongoing and ad hoc reports for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for headcount management, labour cost, talent development, budget analysis
  • Provide insights through analysis of metrics


  • Post-secondary degree and Diploma or Certification in Human Resource Management
  • A minimum of 2- 3 years of experience in all areas of Human Resources, strong Employee Relations experience preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production or industrial environment preferred
  • Project management experience
  •  Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all management and team members within the organization
  • Firm understanding of HR theories and practices and employment laws
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sensitivity in dealing with complex and confidential issues
  • Effective communication with people of various backgrounds
  • A strong commitment to operating within a team environment
