Our client is a technology and project company, selling complex mining technology and plant projects to their customers worldwide.

We are looking for their new Installation & Commissioning Support Specialist – Thickener/ Flotation to join their Global Service Delivery Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing Installation & Commissioning Support at customer sites, through the support of standard project installation and commissioning services on site to certified/specialized technology.


  • Liaise with customer representatives to achieve beneficial and optimal outcomes
  • Ensure Hold Point inspections and warranty requirements for site installations are completed to company’s requirements
  • Maintain a high level of communication with the Project Manager at all times
  • Provide input to site installation team to ensure safe and proper installation of equipment
  • Maintain communication with Project Manager, Line Manager and MA as may be appropriate
  • Provide advisory support for field installation projects as assigned
  • Provide oversight and technical discipline work at site as may be necessary within own level of competence (hydraulics, mechanical, instrumentation, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot installation, start-up, commissioning problems on IP equipment supply (in certified area) c/w assistance from higher certified service representatives as may be required to ensure correctness of installation delivery
  • Identifying sales opportunities and promoting services offering as opportunities arise
  • Participate in informal orientation training for customer operations and maintenance personnel during start-up/commissioning phase within own level of competence and experience
  • Maintain accurate records, securing sign off as needed/appropriate: site status reports, time sheets and travel expense reports after all jobs performed or at frequency advised by Project Manager
  • When required, support sales on evaluating customer RFQ and technical scope definition
  • Ensure proper fulfillment of all QEHS rules and regulations, customer and local legislation
  • Perform safety inspection at workplace prior to starting the job and review job safety analysis (JSA) for any specific job at site and adjust as required as installation & site conditions change. Other safety responsibilities include; ensuring the correct usage of PPE and report any unsafe conditions at site




·         Minimum 5 years of operations management or operations supervisory experience in packaging, bakery, food production, or manufacturing facility

·         Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and achieve results in a fast-paced environment

·         Self-motivated and self-driven individual with the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision

·         Ability to efficiently manage time and priorities in fast-paced environment

·         Strong leadership, mentoring and troubleshooting skills
