Our client is one of the most successful and well-established suppliers of consumer electronics/entertainment products worldwide. They are currently in need of a National Account Manager based in the Greater Toronto Area. This individual will be responsible for senior account sales and management activity with the aim of maximizing sell-through and resulting shipment opportunities with each account. Developing a deep understanding of consumer demand drivers at the respective account(s).

This position requires a strategic thinker with outstanding negotiation and communication skills and the ability to build and maintain solid relationships with distribution partners at the executive level.

Responsibilities:

• Manages direct account and all aspects surrounding the sale of our client’s products, including monitoring sell-through, writing call reports, analyzing and measuring performance and trends, preparing performance and other reports

• Leverages business analytics to influence the customer and company decision making at top-to-top levels at company and customer as well as buyers at customer

• Develops and delivers innovative customer and product-specific recommendations for product placement, pricing, a promotion that make sense to customer and company within their Retail Marketing Program/Business Development Fund guidelines

• Sells and negotiates to gain alignment of business strategies that meet company’s goals

• Leads and influences a cross-functional internal team to support customer initiatives and drive the company’s business objectives

• Visits stores regularly to review consumer product presentations and displays

• Establishes and maintains account files

• Monitors advertising for the company and competing products

• Provides advertising direction to accounts

• Analyzes and establishes work processes and priorities

• Serves as a key go-to person on account-related issues and opportunities. Assists other departments in accomplishing goals as it relates to the customer

• Develop relationships with the customer beyond the buyer and buying department to promote issue resolution and become the company expert in all areas of the customer

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related sales and management experience
  • Strong key account sales experience and skills
  • Supervisory, management, and leadership skills
  • High PC skill level (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Undergraduate degree in a Business related field, or equivalent work-related experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to influence, lead and gain alignment of internal and external business partners
  • Ability to build a holistic customer plan
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to interact with, direct, and sell products and programs to retail accounts
  • Ability to apply sound problem solving and analytical skills to challenges
  • Ability to adapt and work within a fast-paced industry and environment, with limited and ambiguous information
  • Passion for understanding shopper behavior
