Our client is a window and door manufacturer in the Lower Mainland. We are looking for an Operations Manager to join their team. This individual will be responsible for leading the operations team, including production, warehousing, and quality. He or she will establish goals and objectives and measure success, championing a culture workplace safety, continuous improvement, and efficiencies.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire operations team
- Create operational plans, mapping out production requirements
- Establish, implement, and measure operational targets
- Plan and direct the manufacturing of products in conjunction with the production manager to achieve company goals
- Organize workflows to increase efficiencies, embracing lean principles for manufacturing
- Monitor and enforce quality and compliance
- Develop cost-effective alternatives for production processes
- Develop operating procedures and standards
- Monitor production scheduling, costs, quality, and inventory
- Investigate customer complaints, quality issues and down time, making changes in the production process to address problems
- Develop technological solutions for operational challenges
- Monitor and maintain systems, equipment, and machines
- Maximize equipment and resource investments
- Develop strategic plans for operational activities
- Manage budgets, prepare financial documents and activity reports
- Create project schedules and provide reports to senior management
- Champion a culture of teamwork and safety
- Develop and measure KPIs, goals and other metrics to measure success
- Evaluate operational processes and identify areas for improvement
- Monitor staffing needs and contribute to hiring, training and performance management of employees
- Create a culture of continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and cost reduction
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of operational management, production management or plant management in an industrial/manufacturing setting
- Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvements
- Experience managing teams
- Experience in operational business planning
- Exceptional communication skills
- Experience identifying, implementing, and measuring operational improvements
- Strong decision-making abilities, experience delegating and progressive leadership skills
- Experience with various ERP and CRM systems used in manufacturing
