Our client operates a family-run business with over 35 years of experience. They have combined the key elements of the renovation and development industry: design, manufacturing, and construction. Their mission is to provide customers with top-quality products, professional project management services, and exquisite custom millwork.

They have an in-house millwork shop that specializes in crafting custom cabinetry for kitchens and bathrooms, all right here in British Columbia. Additionally, they have received the most awards for cabinet manufacturing in British Columbia.

Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight: Manage all aspects of projects, ensuring they stay on track, on budget, and meet high standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a skilled team, including technicians and subcontractors, promoting teamwork and safety.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently handle labor, equipment, and materials to keep production running smoothly, and manage supplier relationships for inventory.
  • Quality Control: Enforce top-notch quality standards, surpassing industry norms for craftsmanship.
  • Project Scheduling: Create and manage project schedules, coordinating with different teams and subcontractors to meet deadlines.
  • Cost Management: Keep an eye on project budgets, find cost-saving opportunities, and collaborate with the finance department to control expenses.
  • MRP Expertise: Use MRP tools to optimize inventory, procurement, and production schedules for efficient resource use.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure safety regulations are upheld throughout the production process to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Client Communication: Keep clients informed with regular updates, address their concerns, and ensure their overall satisfaction.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify ways to improve processes and implement strategies to boost production efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the kitchen and bath renovation industry.
  • Proven expertise in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools and software.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance within the industry.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
