Our client is one of the most recognized and growing construction builders in Canada. They offer significant growth opportunity within the organization and the chance to benefit from a hybrid working model (combination of remote and office work). They have an office in Richmond, although all the employees will be fully working from home until January 2022.

They are looking for a Proposal and Marketing Coordinator who will be responsible for developing and submitting proposals, leading marketing tactics, and supporting business development initiatives. This individual will have excellent communications skills and previous experience writing proposals for our client’s building projects (mostly commercial/institutional, such as schools, stadiums, arenas, hospitals, correctional facilities, etc.). InDesign experience an asset.


  • Coordinate the proposal preparation and submission
  • Read and distribute Request for Pre-Qualification/Request for Proposal (RFPQ/RFP) information to the pursuit team
  • Create and distribute the responsibility matrix with the pursuit team
  • Distribute requests for information, internally, as required
  • Centralize and standardize RFP content
  • Set deadlines for content and manage
  • Strategize on proposal content and work with identified proposal lead
  • Arrange and record proposal team meetings
  • Work with proposal lead to draft tailored content
  • Manage technical content
  • Work with external vendors and stakeholders to obtain their input and information
  • Review and editing of proposal material
  • Copy, collate, bind, distribute, courier, deliver all proposals
  • Incorporate a continuous improvement mindset post submission
  • Support the business development team
  • Assist with corporate imaging (logo, marketing and corporate communications, promotional material, etc.)
  • Perform additional marketing activities such as promotional events, market research, brand awareness, etc.)


  • Undergraduate degree/diploma in marketing/communications or business-related field
  • 3+ years experience in sales/business development environment with proposal creation responsibility
  • 2+ years of working experience with InDesign, Illustrator and Adobe software applications
  • Experience working with a CRM tool, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent project management skills and understanding of key business processes
  • Experience with continuous process
  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
