Our client is one of the most successful organizations in the telematics fields in North America and offers wireless asset management and location products and services. They are expanding in Western Canada and looking for a driven Sales Executive to focus on new sales in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate will independently seek out leads, qualify prospects, demo products, and establish new customer relationships. Occasional travel in Western Canada is expected. The position will be home-based and offers significant growth and career advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of company’s product and service offering and ability to apply to potential customers’ businesses and requirements
  • Identify, qualify, and close opportunities for new customers in multiple markets
  • Follow up on inbound leads as assigned or generated through various marketing activities
  • Proactively qualify leads, understanding customer requirements and presenting solutions
  • Effectively negotiate contracts and push deals through the sales pipeline
  • Manage internal CRM system
  • Negotiate on price, costs, delivery, and specifications in consultation with CEO
  • Gather market and customer information
  • Represent the Company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations
  • Provide performance and progress information to CEO as required
  • Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues
  • Provide forecasts on annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams

Qualifications:

  • Min 5+ years’ previous sales experience
  • Experience in telematics industry preferred or familiarity with IT infrastructure, APIs, and technology. Candidates who have sold to construction, logistics, transportation, and service fleets, or similar industries will be considered as well.
  • Outstanding communication/customer service skills
  • Sales and negotiation professional, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and ability to influence at all levels within a prospect
  • Positive attitude and a passion for working with customers and partners
  • Strategic, long-term thinker able to analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
