Our client is an extremely innovative tech company that sells software to the fisheries industry to meet regulatory requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to join their team as a remote Sales Representative, covering sales in Atlantic Canada. We are looking for someone with proven sales accomplishments in a related industry, ideally experience selling into the fisheries industry in Newfoundland and/or Nova Scotia.  Travel across Canada is required.  Candidates can be located in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI.


  • Gather customer feedback and share with internal teams
  • Establish the company’s reputation as a reliable service provider
  • Liaise with Francophone and Anglophone fishers and associations with the express purpose of building brand recognition and identifying new sales opportunities in the region
  • Negotiate contracts with large fisheries associations
  • Create and nurture relationships with key stakeholders
  • Generate new business through cold calling and other business development tactics
  • Identify new market opportunities and follow up on sales leads
  • Liaise with clients to ensure customer retention and satisfaction
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity


  • Strong B2B sales experience
  • Proven sales accomplishments in a business development focused sales role
  • 3-5 years of successful sales experience, ideally selling a product or service related to fisheries, ag-tech, or natural resources
  • Solid computer skills (able to use MS Office, google suite products and remote working tools)
  • Able to manage competing tasks
  • Experience working in a startup environment is an asset
  • Experience within the fisheries industry is a major asset
  • Fluency in French preferred
