Our client is a well-established manufacturer in the healthcare textiles industry. We are looking for a Sales Representative to join their team, covering clients in the Midwest. Suitable candidates can live within the territory (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, or Ohio). This position will be a mixture of account management and business development, selling to laundries, distribution, long term care and hospitals. We are looking for intermediate sales representatives who have experience selling in healthcare. The successful candidate must be growth minded, be an active listener, good communicator and can work independently. Our client offers a family vibe in terms of company culture although they are a global organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales of the company’s products and solutions within the assigned geographic territory
  • Develop relationships with national distributors
  • Drive customer growth and retention through exemplary customer service
  • Maintain a home office and work from the road, visiting clients
  • Travel 50-75% of the time to visit customers
  • Clearly articulate the company’s value proposition, persuading customers to buy from the organization
  • Mirror the company’s values
  • Meet and exceed sales targets in each product category
  • Work with senior management to create activity objectives and targets
  • Update and maintain customer inventory information to ensure demands are met
  • Assess competitors and analyze market trends
  • Enter customer information into company systems
  • Identify and attend applicable trade shows/industry events
  • Participate in sales meetings

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of outside sales experience selling in healthcare
  • Sales representatives selling pharmaceuticals, medical devices or health services are encouraged to apply. We may also consider exemplary sales representatives from the waste management industry
  • Experience managing a book of business spread over a large geographic territory
  • Able to work independently
  • Active listener and exceptional communicator
  • Organized and growth minded to build the territory
  • Able to travel 50-75% of the time within the territory
  • University or college degree is an asset but not required
