Our client is a leading manufacturer of monitoring sensors for a variety of applications, from dams and mines to bridges and more. They offer a comprehensive platform of geotechnical, structural, and geospatial monitoring technology, along with purpose-built data delivery solutions.
Due to their growth strategy, they are adding a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to their Maple Ridge location. This individual will lead the ME team in providing technical expertise in the manufacturing process development and improvement of all products manufactured. This position works with Production Control, Production, Quality and Design Engineering to ensure manufacturing processes used to make geotechnical instruments are optimized to assure safety, quality, and cost efficiency. Problem solving, hands-on approach, technical intuition, safety/quality prioritization, teamwork, and effective communication are the main skills required to be successful in this job. Previous experience with new product design, development, and introduction is a mandatory requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective action
- DFM, PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, Build-sheet, SFWI
- Process and material flow definitions
- Test & Assembly equipment, process, tooling and jig designs
- ECO/DCO implementation
- Bill of Materials updates
- Capacity and headcount model
- CAPEX for manufacturing process and equipment
- New Product Introduction
- Plant floor layout
- Manufacturing KPIs
- Functional area ownership of lean and continuous improvements
Requirements:
- 10-years, strong experience in and dedication to:
- CAD
- SPC, Process capability, MSA
- Manufacturing process and equipment development
- NPI experience
- Product Cost modeling
- Team oriented and collaborative
- Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Strong analytical skills
