Our client is focused concrete repair, seismic upgrading, and concrete structural work. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion and serving as a representative on work sites, dealings with Engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, customers, suppliers, and government inspectors. This position supports other senior project managers with change orders, planning and scheduling, and general operations. He or she will be responsible for business development through building and maintaining a pipeline of clients and managing project sales.



  • Manage and oversee multiple projects for both remodel/retrofit projects, new construction, coordinating site activities and assures that all disciplines directly involved in the project are in phase with the project goals and objectives.
  • Provide project management oversight according to prescribed schedule and budget parameters.
  • Support other project managers with project planning, scheduling, change orders and other operational duties.
  • Provide progress reports to office/senior management on a regular basis, identification of greater efficiencies in project management and/or operations.
  • Oversee and provide direction to project teams, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors from project inception to closeout.
  • Collaborate with all project stakeholders throughout project duration including clients, engineers, general contractors, government reps, architects.
  • Prepare and manage project estimates, budgets, schedules, labor, and resources.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction project issues.
  • Adhere to legal regulations, BC building and safety codes, and ensure quality standards are met
  • Attend project initiation, coordination, and progress meetings; make regular trips to sites during construction including bid walks, pre-construction walk-through, in-progress site visits, and construction closeout.
  • Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, assuring working environment is maintained at acceptable levels, and tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Maintain and update pre-construction documents and monitor contract obligations with a goal of building relationships with reliable contractors and vendors.
  • Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions.
  • Provide competitive project estimates using company construction project management software and business data.
  • Fosters relationships with existing and develops new client relationships, develop a pipeline of new business.


  • Engineering Degree (Civil/Structural) from a recognized University/College OR related education such as the Building Construction Technology, Associate Certificate from BCIT.
  • EIT/ or P.Eng. status is a major asset.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the project management of commercial/industrial large scale and/or complex construction projects (retrofit, repair, new construction).
  • Specific Experience in concrete repair/restoration, structural strengthening, waterproofing is an asset.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
  • Knowledge of BC building code requirements and scheduling methods.
  • Project management certification (PMP) is an asset.
  • Good working knowledge of systems: construction project management software, project estimation, CRM software.
  • Experience in business management, budget, data analysis.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, solid command of English written and verbal skills, ability to lead a team.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Systems savvy with an eye towards increased efficiencies in any aspect of project management and/or operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
