Our client is a leading mining services company operating internationally in Europe, Latin America, and Africa. We are looking for a Supply Chain/Inventory Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
· Inventory control and purchase forecasting for one of the company’s key geographic areas
· Implementing improved purchase forecasting
· Improving the company’s inventory management functions
· Purchasing and buying more efficiently
· Supplier development, including negotiation of better terms and finding new suppliers
· Execution of purchase orders, including freight and shipping
· Providing oversight for management of physical inventories
· Coordinating purchases among various company divisions
Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in supply chain management
· Experience with purchasing, inventory management and forecasting
· Experience working for small companies
· Strong quantitative abilities; advanced Excel user
· Assertive manner
· Self-starter, entrepreneurial and able to create processes
· Able to work from the downtown Vancouver office 3-4 days a week
· Experience with international logistics is a major asset
