Our client is a global mining services provider, offering highly specialized services to the mining industry, including analysis of geological materials and scanning services. Reporting to the company’s global head office, we are looking for a Vice President to join their team, responsible for client services, business development, and the presentation of data to clients in North and South America.

Our client is a growing business competing with large corporations. We are looking for an established leader with a geoscientist background to join their team. This role will be based at the client’s head office in Vancouver, where presence is required. International travel for about 6-8 weeks of the year is anticipated.


· Manage client relations for business in the region

· Manage a team of 4 business development representatives spread around North and South America

· Manage technical teams who present data to clients for review, providing a 360-client relations experience

· Build trust and long-term relationships with clients/customers

· Cultivate positive interactions and relationships with other team leaders and managers to drive customer service and results

· Measure team performance and motivate team members to exceed goals

· Develop ways to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty

· Research the market and industry trends

· Hire, train and manage the BD team

· Develop sales strategies and execute sales objectives

· Manage client accounts and client expectations

· Review timeframes and budgets

· Drive the development of new sales leads

· Attend conferences and client networking events


· Geoscientist/geology background

· Experience in customer relations/sales/business development within the mining industry

· A minimum of 7-8 years of experience in a leadership position within a mining services company such as mineral testing or mining systems/equipment

· A passion for developing teams and building strong and resilient customer focused organizations

· A commitment to exceptional customer service and high ethics

· Strong business acumen

· Able to work out of the clients downtown Vancouver office and travel accordingly
