Hours of Work: 40 hours/week



  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Managing Audits and filing of quarterly and annual financial statements with stock exchanges
  • Authorizing and organizing the activities of the accounting department and associated senior staff
  • Guiding financial decisions by delegating the necessary authority to teams in order to create optimum working conditions for establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Implementing new internal policies and controls
  • Developing management information system to provide appropriate info to support top management in decision making
  • Determining the company’s mission and strategic direction as conveyed through policies and overseeing long-range financial planning to ensure ongoing organizational stability, programmatic excellence and growth which are met through the effective financial resources
  • Handling all compliances and regulations of Canada and applicable states of US and relating to finances
  • Identifying and setting up suitable ERP systems for managing the group accounting and operations for Cannabis oil and concentrate manufacturing and distribution
  • Allocate financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs such as managing day to day accounting of the group companies and the inventory and production systems
  • Reporting for stock exchange, Valuation of Share Capital, Options and Warrants
  • Responsible for all aspects of FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, sales trends analysis, cost and gross margin analysis and R&D modeling
  • Establishing financial and administrative controls and developing and implement complex financial modeling and performance metrics
  • Leading annual budgetary process and revising as needed to meet annual fiscal objectives and metrics
  • Participating and leading other areas such as analysis on the general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the company’s policies and operations, Treasury, Capital raises, M&A, Risk Management, and Hedging programs depending on the current company needs
  • Overseeing and review cost accounting and cost budgeting standards
  • Creating financial plans as defined by the board of directors
  • Leading accounting and finance team globally by representing the organization in negotiations or other official functions.



 Chartered Accountant / CPA and or Master of Business Administration

  • 10 years of experience in the finance industry
  • Experienced with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Experience with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) accounting for public companies
  • Knowledge of METRC system for inventory control and regulatory oversight
  • Knowledge of Canadian and US tax laws in general and those specific to Marijuana industry in particular 280E
  • Knowledge and understanding of cannabis biological asset accounting
  • Knowledge and understanding of cannabis concentrate and oil accounting in particular inventory buildup
