Accountant

Our Delta based client is looking for an Accountant to join their team.  The key experience that they would like is accounting experience in the property management industry.  Do you have this?  They are a stable company with a small friendly team.  Ideal opportunity for someone in Delta or South Surrey.

Reporting to the Senior Accountant you will have an excellent opportunity to build your accounting skills.

Hybrid options after probation.

Responsibilities:

Full cycle accounting for 6 limited partnerships and 1 joint venture

Tasks include:

• CAM recovery calculations and billing
• Prepare monthly reports to management in QuickBooks or Yardi Voyager
• Move-in/move-out procedures in Yardi Voyager
• Reconcile bank statements
• Process payables and semi-monthly cheque run
• Manage A/R and work with licensed staff for collection
• GST reporting/remitting
• Assist with budget preparation
• Assist with year-end process
• Liaise with property manager

 Qualifications:

• Completion of an Accounting Certificate or Diploma
• 2 – 3 years of experience in an accounting department
  • Ideally with experience processing AP, AR and reconciliation
• Keen desire to learn and grow.
• High attention to details
• Able to juggle multiple demands and be flexible with duties
• Can work independently and on a team
• The ideal person will come from a small property management company or other small business.
• Experience and proficiency on software
  • Yardi Voyager, Quickbooks, MS Word and Excel are preferred.
