About the client:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber security strategy that aligns with our organizational goals.
  • Identify cyber risks, implement mitigation strategies, and develop incident response protocols.
  • Establish and maintain robust cyber security policies and standards to ensure data protection and compliance with regulations like GDPR and HIPAA.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of security systems and technologies to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Lead the development and execution of incident response plans to effectively handle security breaches.
  • Evaluate and oversee third-party security vendors to ensure they meet our security needs.
  • Recruit and manage a team of cyber security professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and clear role definitions.
  • Monitor and refine cyber security practices, reporting on key metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field preferred; or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years in cyber security leadership, with extensive experience managing complex security environments.
  • Industry certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
  • Strong command of cyber security technologies, compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and modern security tools.
  • Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to address complex challenges.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
  • Proficiency in English is required; written French is beneficial.
