Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial equipment for processing industries. They have offices around the world and are adding a Senior Sales Manager/Director (title can be adjusted depending on experience) for their Delta, BC location (2 days in office, 3 days remote after initial training).
The ideal candidate will have a strong competitive spirt and proven track record of closing sales and will embark on a journey defined by excellence and innovation, aimed at captivating the world’s mineral processing and related industries with our client’s product offerings. Working within a small, high-performing team in Delta, BC and through strong collaboration with other company’s offices globally, The Sr. Sales Manager/Director will be responsible for organizing the Sales Team and collaborating with the company’s global team and customers to deliver results.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead sales endeavours from company’s flagship office, orchestrating and responsibility for closing contract negotiations throughout the world.
- Provide marketing and business development for company products to clientele in mineral processing and related industries.
- In conjunction with Management, develop and execute business plan and sales strategies that are in alignment with global plan for company’s products.
- Nurture the growth and development of Sales Team by leading and focusing on career development, supervision, training, planning, and coordination.
- Manage sales processes, policies, and procedures & collaborate with other departments and product managers.
- Coordinate sales efforts to create accurate and timely complex proposals.
- Create and maintain monthly reports on sales and sales projections.
- Foster client relationships throughout the sales cycle.
- Support other global offices and projects as needed.
- Reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions, within the prescribed authority, while safeguarding the interests of the company by minimizing risks. Working with engineering and project management to insure a clean handover.
- Represent company at client meetings, tradeshows and conferences & engage audiences with marketing media such as presentations and promotional materials.
- Managing a group of sales professionals and back-office to insure that company’s solutions are known and on the mind of engineering companies, consultants and customers throughout Canada and global territories covered by the Canadian office.
- Stay updated on industry knowledge by attending workshops, reading publications, networking, and participating in professional societies.
- Prepare yearly budget for the Sales group’s expenses and profits and monitor it.
- Develop systems and tools to track Requests for Quotations (RFQs), orders, and ensure effective and timely transfer to other departments.
Requirements:
- University or college degree with 15-20 years of experience in sales and managing a team.
- Strong competitive spirit and proven track record of closing complex deals.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead a multinational team.
- Comfortable in leadership, assigning tasks, working independently, and thriving in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to prioritize opportunities and time for self and with your team.

- French language skills a strong asset.
